Linqto will generate and issue Schedule K-1 forms to all investors on an annual basis. If applicable, investors may also receive a 1099-MISC form.
Schedule K-1
A Schedule K-1 is an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax form issued annually for an investment in a partnership. The purpose of the Schedule K-1 is to report each partner's share of the partnership's earnings, losses, deductions, and credits.
Investors will receive a K-1 for each Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Series annually as long as the investment is held. Once an exit event occurs or if an investor redeems their membership interest by executing a sell order, the following year will be the final K1 received for that company.
1099-MISC
A 1099-MISC reports certain types of miscellaneous compensation. Linqto issues a 1099-MISC form for all investors who have received promotional rewards such as XRP or BTC during the most recent fiscal year.
If you have not received a promotional reward from Linqto you will not be issued a 1099 tax document.
Please note, prior to the tax year of 2024 1099-MISC documents were issued via a third party, **https://www.track1099.com/**. Investors were notified via an email from Track1099 once this form was available for download.
Issuance Timeline
We expect tax-impacting K-1s and 1099s to be issued by the U.S. tax filing deadline of April 15, 2025. A tax-impacting event typically occurs when an exit event or a Sell Order is executed. Non-tax impacting documents will be accessible later in the year prior to the U.S. tax filing deadline of October 15, 2025.
