Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an authentication system that requires users to provide two (or more) verification factors to gain access to their account. This serves as an additional layer of protection against unauthorized users gaining access to your account.

Linqto members have a few choices for MFA to help secure their account:

  • Email
  • SMS Text
  • Authenticator app

Email verification is enabled by default upon creating your account. You can disable this and/or enable the other options from the Settings option under the Account tab.

Update Your MFA Settings

On the desktop version, to update your MFA options, you can do so from the Settings option under the Account tab. Here you'll be able to enable or disable any of the options using the Set Up buttons. Simply choose your desired MFA method and follow the prompts.

From the mobile version, you'll find the MFA options under the Security tab.

After a successful sign-in, you’ll have the option to select “Remember this device”. Doing so will allow you to sign in on this device for 30 days without requiring MFA. After the 30-day period, you will need to re-verify using MFA on this device when signing in.

Please note, you’re required to have at least one of the MFA options enabled. We typically suggest using SMS or Authenticator MFA apps over email MFA, as they are more secure.
