Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an authentication system that requires users to provide two (or more) verification factors to gain access to their account. This serves as an additional layer of protection should someone get hold of your email and password.
Linqto members have a few choices for MFA to secure their account:
- SMS Text
- Authenticator app
Email is enabled by default upon creating your account. You can disable this, and/or enable the other options in Settings.
Update Your MFA Settings
On desktop, to update your MFA options, you can do so from the Settings option under the Account tab. Here you'll be able to enable or disable any of the options using the Set Up buttons. Simply choose your desired MFA method and follow the prompts.
From our mobile app, you'll find the MFA options under Security.
** Please note, you’re required to have at least one of the options enabled. We typically suggest the use of SMS or Authenticator apps over email MFA as they are more secure.
